Glad you liked it Harry…as I said one of my all-time favorite memories. And yes, those years overall are my absolute favorite, even though they ended far uglier than they should have.

LOL! That’s awesome. While we’re on the topic (kind of), Muster was one of my favorites back in the 80s. Just a hard-nosed SOB who did whatever was asked of him. GD I miss those teams from the 80s and early 90s – the Ditka years.

Hi Harry, good to see you back. I meant Mustard . “Mikey” and I were at a game in 1988 and an ill-informed “fan” behind us kept yelling and screaming to “HAND IT OFF TO MUSTARD!” Priceless. Then she yelled to “HAND IT OFF TO MCMAHON!” I’m not joking. This will always be one of my favorite memories.

Roy, this is a neat little topic. Obviously Hester is a no-brainer and I would even go as far to say most of us Bears fans EXPECT him to return for a touchdown all the time, however, I really enjoyed Dennis Gentry. He was a small player by NFL standards during that era. For me it was exciting to watch him because you never new what you were going to get. Most of the time you get nothing, but there was always that element of surprise, a little guy making it through a huge swarm of giants.
