They numbers are good but when offensive OC say they can’t throw at you because you are the most dangerous defender on the field . I do respect my other guys especially Leslie Frazier and its hard to compare if you have no super bowl ring. Tillman is playing like a beast my top six Frazier, Stinson,Tillman,Woodford,Nathan and RW Mc Quarters guys who OC talk about not to let make plays that’s what you want

I’m with you Harry! Tillman is one of my all timers! And like you said,(more or less) I fell in love with him when he mugged Randy Moss in the end zone! I remember it like it happened yesterday, Moss had two hands on the ball at the peak of his jump and Peanut(sorry, I like the nickname)fully extended, ripped it out of Moss’ lady fingers and sealed it! I was watching the game with a couple of Vikings fans and will always have the memory of their dejected faces when their “Wonder-Boy” coughed up the game winning TD! I think those guys still hate me for the way I taunted them! Ha Ha! Back to the subject… Tillman isnt a super tight coverage man, HE’S A FOOTBALL PLAYER! And that’s why I like him! HE’S TOUGH! I know he’s getting a little long in the tooth and I’m gonna miss watching him play! What a great BEAR!!!!

Tillman is one of my all-time favorite Bears. He has a knack for forcing fumbles like I have never seen before. I will never forget the last play of the Viking game, with the game on the line (I believe it was his rookie year), when he went up in the air with Randy Moss and took the ball away from him. He literally TOOK the ball away from Randy Moss, because he wanted it more than Moss did. That single play exemplifies the way Tillman plays the game, and in a greater sense, it exemplifies Chicago Bears football…at least the way I see it! Go Bears…

Hi Andy, thanks for the comments, they’re good. No, when I evaluated it I guess I left Azumah out entirely. In my opinion, and of course this is all in my opinion, Azumah wasn’t bad enough to mention with the bad, but not good enough at that position to be considered with the top guys. You know as well as I do that the team thought Azumah was going to be this diamond in the rough that was so athletic that he’d end up being a steal. But he never quite became a solid corner in my opinion, although I’d say he was more steady than R.W. McQuarters. I did put him in with the top returners though.

“The Mule” Stinson and Woolford could have been a great combo. But you’re right, Stinson was basically done in the NFL not long after he got started, and Woolford never made it back to where he was once he started getting hurt. Woolford was a better cover man than Tillman, but Tillman is probably the better overall corner. Nathan Vasher had huge potential, but once the injury bug bit him, that was it.

No mention of Jerry Azumah?

Absolutely love Frazier!!!!! Saw the mention of conerbacks and got all excited. WOOHOO!! Burger Flippin Doug Plank, just in time to remember he is my beloved Chicago Bears Safety. I’ll wait till that conversation. I guess the dog days of summer, a NFL lockout, and the fact I live deep in cheese territory may have something to do with my brain cramp.
