I’m still planning on writing “weekend six-packs” on Fridays, but this week I feel I’ve exhausted about everything I could say about the Bears’ current and future state of affairs.
I don’t make predictions on games. But I will say that a few weeks ago, I figured this should be an easy win for the Bears. Now I’m not sure of that as all.
The Bears’ run defense has been playing terrible all year, and now here comes Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson just as he’s hitting his prime. Not only that, but Viking DE Jared Allen is having a stellar year rushing the passer and has every opportunity to feast on Chicago’s porous line and scheme. (At least Frank Omiyale won’t be in there). And it’s not just Allen the Bears have to worry about-Kevin Williams is back.
I hope the Bears right the ship and are able to take the next two games, getting back into position for a potential wildcard run. Do I think that is very likely based on what I’ve seen in 2011? I can’t say that I do.
