Wembley Stadium has the same surface as Green Bay Packers since july 2010, the hybrid grassmaster system. Since then, they have a perfect pitch, in a multi-use environment.
More info at the website of the English Soccer Association:

Ironicaly, Wembley Stadium has had tons of problems since it was redeveloped and like JDM suggests with Soldier Field, one of the root causes is the amount of events it hosts, including the NFL game.

Not that I'm complaining about that this year mind.

The Packers field is a combination of turf and natural grass. I don't know the details, but I know it's anot a typical natural grass field. One thing to note that makes a huge difference is that there are no other events at Lambeau during the season. Solider Field is a different story. With that type of surface, you cannot re-sod it during the season. Whether we like it or not (and I don't), Solider Field is just used too much for natural grass (Foxboro had the same problem). It's going to need field turf whether we like or not. Of course, then we get political because the unions might not like taking away jobs to groundkeepers, etc. It's never a dull moment in the city of Chicago.
