Comments on: Let’s Hear from the UK.. Chicago Bears History Blog by Mon, 20 Apr 2015 22:25:11 +0000 hourly 1 By: Roy Taylor Thu, 20 Oct 2011 14:09:40 +0000 Dave, Bill, Stuart, thanks for letting us know, and I hope you all have a great time at the game. Make it loud for the Bucs even though it’s their home game!

I should mention that they were talking on Chicago sports radio yesterday how this game is getting very little coverage in the sports media in the UK. Is that true? I’d ask you why, but I think it would be no surprise to know that US football still is more of a curiousity outside of North America. I admit when international soccer (football, if you will) matches are played in Chicago, I have no understanding of what is going on.

I encourage you all to please take pictures of your time at Wembley and if you wouldn’t mind if I post them on my Bears tailgating pages I’d love to do so!

By: Dave Wed, 19 Oct 2011 20:44:22 +0000 I cannot wait for Sunday,

I love this website Roy but it was tough reading last week after the Lions game. Following the win on Sunday though I’m confident we’ll see a good performance.

I’m travelling down to London on Friday so I will have missed a lot of the build up event this week.

Like Stuart, I’ll be proudly wearing my bears hoodie and bringing some Roker Roar (UK footy fans will know what that is) to Wembley to cheer on Da Bears.

Word of warning though, I’ve been to the old Wembley Stadium 6 times and only ever seen the team I’ve been supporting win once.

Hopefully the new one will bring me more luck.

Ha’way Chicago

By: Bill Wed, 19 Oct 2011 18:16:04 +0000 Joseph and I will be there. We’ll take a win – however it comes.

By: jdm Mon, 17 Oct 2011 21:41:30 +0000 Enjoy the game Stuart. The game being moved to London was a blessing in disguise, at least for my bank account. I was all set to take a trip to Tampa for this game.

By: Perno Mon, 17 Oct 2011 19:38:55 +0000 Enjoy the game you guys have stolen from me here in Tampa, Stu! Looking forward to actually being able to see the Bucs on TV while they’re at home instead of it being blacked out! Bear down!

By: Stuart Willis Mon, 17 Oct 2011 18:29:41 +0000 I simply can’t wait until next Sunday! It’s special enough to see a regular season NFL game, but for it to feature my beloved Bears, now that is special! I am just hoping that the week 1 and week 6 Bears turn up rather than the week 2, 3 or 4 Bears and that we have a great game and, of course, a Bears victory.
So what am I hoping for? A Devin Hester kick return touchdown would be nice, along with some big hits and sacks from Peppers, Urlacher, Briggs. Oh, and some mega runs by Matt Forte and big passing from Jay Cutler. What do you think – will I get them all?
As it’s a Bucs home game, everyone attending is asked to support the home team. Needless to say I will be proudly wearing my #99 Hampton shirt and Bears fleece and shouting to lose my voice to stop the Buc’s offence!
Cheers from the UK,
