Let’s look at history:

Since coming to the Bears in 2001, the Bears have made 9 first-round draft picks. Of those 9, 2 are still with the team:

Chris Williams
Gabe Carimi

Neither have been elected to the Pro Bowl yet.

Looking back the the Green Bay Packers first-round draft picks, 6 of their 11 first-round draft picks are still with the team:

Aaron Rodgers
AJ Hawk
Clay Matthews
BJ Raji
Bryan Bulaga
Derek Sherrod

5 of those 6 are starters and 2 of those 5 are Pro Bowlers.

Of the 11 New England Patriots first round draft picks since 2001, 5 of them are still with the team and 4 of those 5 are Pro Bowlers.

THAT is proper player talent evaluation.

I feel bad for the guy, and I will be shocked if he actually makes it through the entire season. Hate to say it this early in the year, but I think this is a must-win game against Carolina.
