Foreman, What I have heard is that the players vote on the road uniforms....this year they voted for all whites all year long. The only time since the 1940's the Bears have worn white at home were in the 2005-2007 home openers. Thank God they stopped that this year. I am intrigued by this myself and wanted to interview Bears equipment manager Tony Medlin for my book but he wouldn't give me the time of day. I know you've seen my uniform page here:

Is there any logic to the uniform combinations that they wear from week to week? I know it is generally home=blue, away=white, but sometimes they wear the white at home, and the color of the pants seems to switch at random. Sometimes all white, occasionally all blue... any rhyme or reason?

I agree - the jerseys would look better with navy numbers and lettering. They sell replica jerseys like that, yet they have never worn them on the field(?). Orange jerseys with navy numbers/letters and navy pants - I think that would look pretty sharp. Something different, at least.

It might look better if the numbers were Navy, instead of white, also the stripes on the jersey should be blue as well.

When it comes to uniforms, regardless of the sport, I am A purist. The Bears navy blue jerseys have been their home uniforms for many decades, and it should continue. They are classic, and look great. Needless to say, I am not a big fan of their orange jerseys. Likewise, I am happy to see that the Bears are wearing white pants on the road once again, which is what they wore for many years.
