The Love Affair is Over Already?

Just more Cutler craziness.

Shannon Ryan of the Chicago Tribune writes a weekend menu every Friday.  Today she writes “Chicago’s love affair with Jay Cutler ended faster than one of Paris Hilton’s relationships.”

OK, she recovers at the end to say “give him another chance,” but this is turning into a feeding frenzy.  The only thing that bugs me is how the media runs with one small aspect of the story-that yes, there are going to be a few disgruntled fans that have no way to see past one bad game.

But Shannon, there is a vast majority like me that knows Cutler has the best skills any Bears quarterback has had since around 1950.  So most of us still have the love affair with Jay Cutler (is it wrong?)

This is getting comical.

In other news, I had no idea that Mark Anderson lined up at defensive tackle in passing situations Sunday night, and will continue to do so.  Interesting.

  1. I look forward to reading the articles on Monday after the Bears domination of the Steelers. They will be a great read!

  2. might be a rough year for cutler. so think to yourselves bears fans… does cutler suck now or is it the system and or wideouts? i dont think that cutler changed so it has to be the later. give it time. i kmow we all want to win today but we should all feel good about tommorow.

    Calm the f@#* down!!
Cutler is going to be fine. The offense will get into a groove.
It takes a little time to get some chemistry built up.
I realize that the regular season is only 16 games so the Bears cannot wait too long to get chemistry going, but I honestly think the Bears are going to look VERY GOOD tomorrow. They will be a totally different offense at home. It is hard to develop in a loud hostile environment. I think the Bears will win virtually every home game and steal at least half of their road games. (That is 12 games).
    Don’t panic.
Good wine takes time. This team will definitely mellow with time.
Stop listening to the sports media in Chicago, they are paid to overreact and cause public perceptions to wax and wane.
Bears will smoke the Steelers tomorrow and the defense will look just fine without Brian Urlacher.
Have faith in your team for goodness sakes!
I do not want to see any more bitching about Cutler. Would you rather have the garbage the Bears have trotted out on the field at QB for the last 15 years?
    Think about it.

  4. Also, we just won against the Superbowl champion Steelers. Plus, the 39 yard run Mendenhall had was only because of a blatant hold of Hillenmeyer. Did anyone else see that?

  5. Sounds like Shannon Ryan at the Chicago Tribune couldn’t come up with anything better to write about, it’s a shame. 1 game does not a season make.

Higgins – Everyone is saying the same thing about Hillenmeyer getting held, at least they came out with the W. I love Jeff Reed.
