Offensive Line Shuffle

25 years ago next month the Super Bowl Shuffle was recorded.  In 2010 the Bears are doing an offensive line shuffle, no song required.

The good news is, per Brad Biggs of the Tribune, the offensive line’s five starters for this Sunday have 212 total career starts.  The not-so-good news is that 172 of those starts belong to center Olin Kreutz.  The other 4 starters average 8 starts each between them.  The new right tackle, rookie J’Marcus Webb, has one.

Personally I hope line coach Mike Tice is right, that by Halloween the Bears will have put together most of the pieces of their future offensive line (other than center, which will not feature Olin Kreutz next year, I’m sure).  If this doesn’t work, the line and the season could remind us more of 2003 than 1985.
