I usually start the season by saying how great the Beloved are going to be; however, I am only right some of the time.
I think the Bears are going to contend this year and be in the best eight teams at the end of the year.
Not based on anything other than the fact that I think a couple of lackluster years are getting some of our veterans nervous that their Super Bowl WINNING window is closing.
Lance Briggs, Brian Urlacher and Chris Harris are going to drag this defense kicking and screaming back into prominence.
I think Cutler will struggle early with Martz’ offense but his rapport with Aromashadu will keep them contending.
With only the exception of key injuries to our best players, The Chicago Bears will be winners this year and possibly champions the next.
If Green Bay is the best team in the league this year, I will punch myself in the face as hard as I can.
I really and truly hate those green and yellow sickening pukes.

remember last year peter king picked chicago to go to the super bowl… he doesn’t know jack so who cares? chicago isn’t gonna be the #25 team in the league, but i don’t think they’re a serious contender either! here’s to hoping we crack the .500 mark… i miss the days of bragging about how tough the Bears were. yea i know… that was a long time ago!
