Griese and McGowan

Prior to the season, I predicted the Bears would beat the Colts and lose to the Panthers.  So far so good, although I wish I would have been wrong on game 2.  For some reason, I also predicted they’d lose to the Buccaneers.

With the Bears at 1-1, their defense playing great, and Tampa now starting Brian Griese, I’m just not as concerned about Tampa.  What do you think?

The big news yesterday was that safety Brandon McGowan is out for the season with an ankle injury.  The Sun-Times writes that McGowan will be difficult to replace.  Why is that?  Shouldn’t the Bears have a little experience in this department, since McGowan has been injured in every single season in which he’s played for the Bears?

  1. I predict a 4 interception game from Brian Griese and Jeff Garcia starting next week after The Chicago Bears manhandle the Bucs offense.

  2. I’d love that!

  3. Gee i’m gonna miss those penalties from McGowan

  4. I just don’t see Lovie’s unending love for Brandon McGowan. ’05: injured. ’06: injured. ’07. nothing. ’08: Injured. Huh?
