How about Grossman’s Superbowl performance Rob and Scott? That game was an even match if there ever was any. Indianapolis had as many chinks in the armor as tbe Bears! I have no doubt if we had Griese in there by that game, we’d no longer be obsessing about the ’85 Bears.

i was at that monday night game. it was all cardinals in all our faces for about 3 1/2 quarters. they had the victory celebration going at halftime. what a relief to see our defense lay the smack down and let me walk out of there with my head held high. hey Roy T., why don’t you have a ” your favorite bears moments” for us fans to talk about and have the warm and fuzzeys. would be fun, just an idea.

Rob, that was the first time I truly watched a Rex Grossman performance. My friend was raving on and on about how awesome he was for weeks, so he and I got together to watch that MNF game. I had that gut feeling Rex was due for a bad game, thing is I didnt know the game was going to be THAT bad….Still a great game though with the defense and Devin Hester. Unbelievable that we won.

For me, the worst was the Arizona Monday night game in 2006. I never fully got over that performance.

I agree with you JDM. I never booed him…actually I can’t remember personally ever booing a Bears quarterback. What would that accomplish? I still thought he was going to be the guy after 2006. I was done with him game 4 of 2007, but I wasn’t one of those booing him like mad. Yes, some people go over the top. But some of these writers have been acting like fans don’t have the right to have a poor opinion of him as a player, and I don’t agree with that.

Roy, you have to admit, some of the hatred for him was a little over the top. I mean, he got booed on family day, and got booed when he did the right thing, like throwing the ball away when no one was opened (preseason). I mean, not even Bryan fricking Cox got that much abuse. Some of the flack he deserved (he just wasn’t very good in the end), but some of the stuff was a down right embarassment as a Bears fan.
