Bears Winless in Preseason

The 2010 Chicago Bears finished the preseason 0-4 for the first time since, gulp, Dave “Wanny” Wannstedt’s final 4-12 campaign in 1998.

But I would tend to agree with the team’s assessment that it does not matter.  The lines we are being fed are that most of Mike Martz’ offense has been masked, and the defense was examining different ways to handle different situations rather than trying to flat-out stop the opposition on third downs.

So for now, I will agree with the team’s assessment that the 0-4 preseason has no bearing on how the Bears will fare come September 12.  It had better not.

  1. The 2008 Lions went 4-0 in preseason and 0-16 in the regular season. So since we went 0-4 in preseason…we must be destined to go 16-0 in the regular season :-D

  2. I like your logic…
