The one thing that’s refreshing about the Urlacher contract hissy fit, and the others for that matter, is it means the Bears actually have multiple players worthy of demanding more money. For those that don’t remember, during the Wanny Years this was never a problem. The only guys making big money were terrible free agent signings that would end up getting cut anyway. And the only thing to worry about there was their cap charge and dead money after they didn’t live up to their salary. I much prefer our current situation over the old days.
