Thank you so much. Very informative. My family has had Bears’ season tickets since the late 40′s & I remember games at Wrigley Field. When the Bears moved to Soldier Field, of course, everyone’s seating was changed. Your article hepled me put a time line on a number of events, before & after PSL’s & Bears’ games in my life. I think the 2003 renovations are awful. It was nice to observe the colonades (temples) on the top of the field on TV and gave the place distinction. Now it looks like every other modern, boring stadium. Shame on Chicago (and the Bears) for this act of public vandalism. Saddly the new “design” is trendy and will, in about 30 years be seen as an eyesore and consequently demolished. A similar thing happened to Yankee Stadium and we all know what recently happened to that.
